Last blogged @ 6:41 PM  Hey people! Finally back from the Italy trip!!!! Hahahahah it was awesomeszx! Much better than the Japan one pffft. I love insight vacations. :D kay. so. yeah. Pictures will be later, when my dad does his photo thing Day 1 was just on the plane and getting to know each other more. Uh huh... There was like 4 sg families (including me) Shocking. So awesome yeah! Hahaahah :) Rosario was our tour guide. Day 2, Rome/Roma. Visited the Vatican city. Omg I tell you Overload of marble and other awesome stuff. We also went into the Sistine Chapel, immortalised by Michelangelo's painted ceiling. It's damn awesome. Like omg. Then we went to St Peter's Basilica and the Colosseum. It was huge!!! Rome has some thousand years of history. It's so rich and awesome. Gosh. They can't build underground carparks in Rome cause for sure there will be lots of ruins underground. Due to lack of money, the government cant dig out all these ruins. Once dug out, they need money to be restored and maintained. Cost a bomb yeah! Yeah. Visited the catacombs. where all the christians were buried. I'm to lazy to explain... :D Day 3, Pompeii - Sorrento We learned in history about the volcano thingy. Well, actually, there the ash was like 25 feet. It totally blanketed the city of Pompeii. & we saw how the ruins were. There were temples, the olden day type of "McDonalds" and even brothels. And there were fresco's of the gross pictures on the walls of the brothels. Hhahaha. Grosssss. Kay, anw, after that, proceeded to Sorrento. I forgot what we did there. :X Day 4, Sorrento - Capri Visited the wood inlaying. It was quite nice, all the wood and all. (: Capri, took a ferry there. We went to i-forgot-his-name's villa and toured his house. it was okayish. Parents went crazy for limoncello. Lemon liqour. It was, yucky. :X I don't fancy liqour. Except champagne. It's nice :) Then we took the cable car down. Funiculi Funicular. Hhahahaha :) It's also a song! My mum's nuts about it. HAHAHA. Day 5, Sorrento - Florence/Firenze The ride to Florence was so long. Sorrento is all the way south and Florence is in the north. Auto grilled for lunch. We passed Tuscany and arrived in Florence. Then at night, had this special dinner. Haahaha the food came freaking fast like wtf? Then they had this tarantella performance & I was dragged out to dance. Then I danced lor. LOL. AHHA, then Edmond kena pulled out too! LOL. Then after that it was I forgot who. But yeah. Then it was Katie & this other sg guy (idk his name :X) Hhahah! Yeah. Then it was the slapping face game. You are supposed to slap this guys face and if you manage to slap his face, you get a X'mas cake. But it's impossible. There's another guy behind you that keeps pulling you back. Hhaha so when you are that close , he pulls you back. Hahahah yeah. Then we played another game. Idk what game you call it. LOL. But it was fun. :D The best night(; Day 6 - Florence sightseeing We went to the Acadamy of Fine Arts. But the way Rosario pronounced it was like "Acadamy of Finance" LOL. We saw the monumental figure of DAVID. Hhahaha. David, a marble figure made by Michelangelo. Then we continued with the local tour guide and blah blah blah After that, it was our free time so dad & I went to another musuem. while mum went to shop. You know sometimes I don't get her. It's like she cares more abour shopping then this. Like, this is a once in a life time opportunity to see the musuem. I mean it won't be for another 5-10 years that you would want to come back to Italy... Oh well. There were so many paintings in the musuem. 1 hour is seriously not enough. We had to rush through at the end. And we ate in a restaurant where i think some actor & actresses were filming. hhahaha :) Then we went to watch a demostration of leatherwork in Peruzzi. I bought myself a lil' bag that cost 105 euros. Heh. & a notebook for Vivian. Her X'mas present. Then it was free time again and we shopped around... Dinner was at this restaurant. Omg the mushroom risotto was fabulous. So yummylicious. Gah. (: Then all the ladies danced with this guy (old) Sadly. Not some hot Italian guy. D: Day 7, Florence - Pisa - Milan/Milano We saw the leaning tower of Pisa!!!! Poor Rosario, he visits the leaning tower of Pisa like 10 times a year. Auto grilled againnnnn. Getting sick of it already. Headed to Milan!!!!! Had a local guide and saw the cathedral and my gosh it was magnificent. Some of these take generations to build!!!!! We had dinner, at a sucky restaurant, with Benedet (Australian!) The food sucks. Then we toured the Sforza Castle. It was quite big and awesome. :) And the highlight. We saw the original last supper, painted by the legendary Leonardo Da Vinci. & the woman-like person next to Jesus was John the baptist. It was damn awesome. Day 8, Christmas day! How I spent my Christmas : Wandering around Milan. All shops are closed. Went to the train station, some shops open, bought sushi at the supermarket, and ate in the hotel. And took a nice hot dip in the bath. Dinner, at a very cosy restaurant. We had dinner with Cary & his wife, Katie & her mum. Cuz I was wearing red & white. My mum said " you look like the Singapore flag" Then Katie asked what does the Singapore flag mean. I was like oh shit. I had trouble with the 5 stars & the moon. Like I only knew that the 5 stars stand for equality, democracy, justice and no clue about the moon. Then daddy helped. Thank god. But I aced the red & white part. :D red - brother hood white - purity. half cresent moon - a young nation on the ascent 5 stars - equality, democracy, justice, prosperity, peace. I will never forget it. Gosh so paiseh. Even when Sg became independent I also forgot. Haiszx. Now I shall never forget. :D We decided to attend the midnight Mas at the cathedral with the some of rest. Omg it was FREEZING. I WAS FREAKING FREEZING MY ASS OF CAN. WTF. And not to mention boring. & that I don't understand Italian. ): We left during the commune thingy. Gosh too cold too cold. Now Idk how I survived Hokkaido man. Day 9, Milan - Verona - Venice/Venezia We bid farewell to Milan and headed to Venice via Verona. We went to the claimed balcony of Juilet. & I saw this guy touching Juliet's boob (the statue) I was like wtf? Then I saw ladies doing the same. LOL. like errrr? So I touched Juliet's boob too. Indirectly. juliet's boob > my mum's hand > my hand HAHA. Then my dad told me the ppl touch the boob to get lucky in love. Then I was like O.O LOL. HAHAHA.. Yeah.... Arrived at Venice!!!!!!!!!!!!! Venice was beautiful:) We sat on a Gondola and i think our guide was the best.(: We sat with Katie & her mum. :D Freezing cold but yeah. Awesome experience(: We drank champagne too! Dinner at the hotel. You could totally see the difference. All the Westerner's sit tgt. All the Asians sit tgt. But even in the Westerner's, I could see a line. Katie & her mum, & Cary & his wife. & then the rest of the Westerner's. oh well. But we click more with Katie, her mum, Cary & his wife better. :) Day 10 - Venice Sightseeing. We went to the cathedral and looked at how awesome the gold mosaics on the ceiling were. & the Doges' Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. The bridge of Sigh's connects the Doges' Palace to the prison. the prison is super cruel. during winter the water rises and the prisoners on the lowest floor get the water up to their knees. in summer, its freaking hot cause the roof is made of iron. My gosh. They abolished it so now it's just for tourist to see. Then we went to Murano, to see a glass-blowing factory. It's damn cool! They way they do it! I heard Edmond's dad bought a chandelier. & its freaking expensive. Oh well, they have the money! In South Africa, that chandelier could buy the South African couple a Mercedes Benz car. O.O right. Yeah. I didn't buy anything there, none of us did. Katie bought a green necklace Pretty(: Then we went to Burano, to eat lunch & explore. HAHA IT WAS DAMN FUNNY DURING LUNCH. The waitress was like "Coffee, tea or me" to the South African guy, Bob. AHAHAH, then Bob was like Coffee! Then the woman came back "here special coffee for you" Then pretended to pour coffee on his shirt but actually there was nothing inside. HAHAAH, his reaction was friggin funny!!!!! & then she gave almond liqour to everyone, and she told Bob that it was viagra. Hahahah, everyone laughed like hell then.(: Loved lunch, even the risotto was awesome, the pasta too. :D Shopped for a bit and then yeah. Headed back to Venice. Day 11, Venice - Rome. Spent most of the time in the bus. Auto grilled for the 10th time. Argh. Had the highlight dinner at some restaurant. Argh, its like a tour group restaurant. So not cosy at all. Anw, had dinner with Edmond they all & Magdalene & her husband. Hahaha I think I never felt so paiseh before. LOL. Hhahahah, Edmond's mum , Madeline, was a fan of korean drama's!!!! Hahahaha like me!!!! Then we were talking and talking and talking. Then Edmond's dad said " Edmond thinks you are taking the wrong path watching all the dramas" HAHAHAHA THAT WAS EPIC. LOL. Then there was this thing about couple shots. So they took our table already then Magdalene went "you missed out the young couple here!" *points to Edmond & I* I was like WTF. LOL. I swear he went red. & then obviously i was like "NO NO NO" HAHA, then my dad went "eh future doctor! Better invest!" & I was like "I DON'T KNOW YOU" to my dad. HHAHAH. I swear that was so friggin hilarious. :D Definately fits the highlight dinner. :) Hhaha, poor Edmond. He probably has a gf already or smth. I think he's 19. 1st year in NUS this year, studying medicine. Omg right. Smart. ass. ): Oh well. I'm not that smart. BUT, I participated in NDP 2010!!!!!!! & went to Cambodia. & am training for drill competition next year. That makes me feel much better. heh. ok. enough crapping. It was the last night, everyone was sad. LOL. then Rosario was super cute. He was singing in the bus some tragic song. Then he stopped halfway and said "you see this is a very tragic song so I'm supposed to cry now" Hhahahaa everyone laughed(: Then he wanted to sing something else then someone requested one song and he sang the chorus and went la la la la at the parts he didn't know. Super cute! HAHAHAHA :) Then Bob requested for the Singapore National Anthem. Then I shut up. HAHAH. All the Singaporean's sang like a bit then shut up. LOL. Haiszx, sadly, it ended. Omg I'm gonna miss Katie the most. & the rest. Added her on fb but she hasn't accepted. Edmond accepted first. Then the others haven't. ): Yeahhhh. Day 12 - Rome. Did some serious shopping. ( my mum), with Magdalene & her husband. Had lunch with them too. Bought so many stuff from Furla. It's almost 1/3 the price in Sg! Cuz Furla's an Italian brand. haha. My mum bought a big brown bag & a big black bag. for herself. even though those 2 bags are almost the same, almost only the colour is different. Plus, she already owns a smaller version of the big black bag. Oh my god right?!!??!!?!? Haisxzc. Then she bought another weird looking black bag & a red wallet for popo. A smaller version of the big brown bag for ah yi. Spent almost 1000 euros!!!!! Then claimed the tax free thing so it became 800 + euros. Magdalene bought 1 bag from furla & 1 bag from prada. She's rich. She's a radio something. X-ray thing working @ Tan Tock Seng. & her husband is a gyne. Can afford. My mum bought prada sunglasses too. My dad didn't buy anything at all. I only bought a small lil' brown bag. Headed to the hotel, took the shuttle to the airport & went back home!!! Rome - Dubai, sat business class cuz the flight was full so they upgraded us since daddy is a frequent flyer of Emirates. :D But then Dubai - Sg, sat economy class. Oh well. Better than nothing. :) Mum puked after reaching Dubai. Idk what happen. Poor mummy. Reached homed at 9. Taxi-ed home & cooked maggie mee & ate it!!!!!! ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR :DDDDDDDDD Yeah. oh well, on the whole, the Italy trip was SUPER AWESOMEEEEEEEE! More than the Japan one. Much much more!!! I totally love Rosario. I wish he was my grandfather. Like funny & knowledgable & cute, like a teddy bear. AHAHA. Sadly, no hot Italian guys. gahhhh. Saddening. But oh wells. (: Made friends:) Hope to keep in contact with them!!!!!!!!!! :D Okay since today is the last day of 2010, lets post: Things I love about 2010: 1. Awesome friends I made. 2. Cambodia trip!!!! 3. Sec 2 Coporal Camp, Damai! 4. Sec 2 Training Camp. 5. Italy trip!! 6. Boran & Si Min Drama (; *wink wink* 7. USS with Vivian! 8. NDP 2010!! 9. MBS on 9 August after NDP! 10. Drill Competition Training! Yup. My top 10. :D Not in any particular order. :) I have no new year resolutions yet. Probably think tmr. Then I probably not achieve them at the end of 2011. :D Anw, tmr going to Popo's house for New Year's Dinner!!!!! Hhaha okay. I should go and sleep.
